What is GOTS textile certification?
At rita&deer, we are committed to using GOTS-certified textiles (Global Organic Textile Standard) as the foundation of our collections. But… what exactly is GOTS?
It’s a globally recognized quality seal that applies to organic textile products and, in our case, certifies the sustainability of the accessories and add-ons we manufacture.
We know the words sustainable/sustainability have been trendy for a long time, but at rita&deer, we’re not just trying to follow a trend. We are conscious consumers, and we want our customers to be as well. Our goal is to contribute our small part in creating a society with ethical, humane principles.
For us, it’s crucial that when our product reaches you, it meets all the standards of ethical and sustainable design. We don’t believe in the buy, use, and toss mentality that only generates waste on a large scale and social inequalities in poorer countries. We advocate for conscious and responsible purchasing.
